Village of Suamico- Municipal Services Center

The Village of Suamico had commissioned three studies in the past ten years to review the physical space needs of staff and equipment. Following the last study completed in 2007, the Village acquired land for the purpose of developing a new Municipal Services Center, bringing together all of the Village functions over the course of the next five years.  Dimension IV was retained following the studies to perform a final analysis, design and oversee the construction of the new facilities.

Dimension IV analyzed several components for the design and development of a new Municipal Services Center for the Village of Suamico, including village operations as well as site development.  The information gathering process for this report consisted of four steps:

  • Review of the findings of pervious reports
  • Analysis of existing facilities
  • Questionnaires and interviews
  • Community meetings

The development of the site unfolded in phases, beginning spring of 2010.  The remainder of the municipal center will develop as the community and funding allows.  The final project is intended to not only embody green and sustainable design, but also to capture the “aesthetic” design and become a catalyst for community development and an example of Suamico’s design standards.
